Problem with Refresh

Postby DickyP » Tue Apr 17, 2012 5:24 am

I am experiencing an error if I try to use the refresh option from the right click context menu.

The Message Box is:

TVShows Refresh.png
Refresh Error
TVShows Refresh.png (20.07 KiB) Viewed 5360 times

and the error message Details from the Details button are:

"See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box."

Download http://www.danhinsley.com/downloads/MovieLibrary.exe into your MovieLibrary directory and it should fix it.

Added the repalcement file but now getting:

TVShows Refresh 01.png
TVShows Refresh 01.png (17.7 KiB) Viewed 5355 times

If I double-click the entry to run it I get the following:

TVShows Refresh 02.png
TVShows Refresh 02.png (17.19 KiB) Viewed 5355 times

It does exist!

TVShows Refresh 03.png

Just in case I've got an incorrect set of files:

I assume that you couldn't open this file before this fix? What do you have in your preferences? Is this the only file that won't open, for does it happen to all files?

Dan,

Please ignore this for now - I need to do a bit more research as I'm now experiencing different behaviour and I don't want you to waste any more time until I'm sure what is happening.

If I refresh from File, or re-import then they subsequently run OK on double clicking, and don't fight back on refresh - the latter doesn't seem to reflect all changes but doesn't crash.

When I put back my copy from before the private to check things it still opens files OK, but now the refresh fails without crashing as above.

I will do a full re installation and then come back to you with results/problems.

Now it's re-installed I can't make it fail - obviously something causing corruptions (probably me) rather than the programme itself. My apologies for the time you wasted on 'fixing' it!

No problem, there was a bug that caused the original problem, so at least that's fixed.
