Problems Searching Movies

Postby cmilz88 » Sun Dec 04, 2016 3:07 pm

I use to be able to search for movies with the "NAME (YYYY)" format, I haven't been able to do this for sometime now though. It hasn't been a problem because I have been on my Computer to take the "(YYYY)" out of the search field.

While I am in the process of automatizing my media tagging process, and keep my naming system the same, is there anyway to get back to the old way of searching for movies where I can search for "Gone In Sixty Seconds (2000)" and have only one come up instead of searching for "Gone In Sixty Seconds" and have "Gone In Sixty Seconds" and "Gone In 60 Seconds" appear in the list.

Now having one item in the list is a lot easier to auto tag then having multiple options come up or no options at all. it is not always the first item in the list that I am looking for or that would be fine.

Searching works for me like:
Current way:
"Gone In Sixty Seconds (2000)" > No Matches

Old way:
"Gone In Sixty Seconds (2000)" > 1 Match > "Gone In Sixty Seconds" (The correct year (2000) version I am looking for)

Current way:
"Gone In Sixty Seconds" > 2 Matchs > "Gone In Sixty Seconds" | "Gone In 60 Seconds"
"Gone In 60 Seconds" > 2 Matchs > "Gone In 60 Seconds" | "Gone In Sixty Seconds"

I am using Gone In Sixty Seconds as an example because only 2 items appear in the list, there are some movies that I came upon that have anywhere from 2 to 20 different entries.

Let me know if there is anyway of correcting this or if it makes sense. I know it may not be on your end if TheMovieDB API changed the way it accepts the data.

Thanks!

First, you can get rid of the (2000) by using the preference->data->strip () info from files.

Getting more than one result is based on the search source (tmdb, amazon, ...). I return all the ones that it returns to me.
