Failed Sending Data To iTunes

MetaX is a movie tagging program that will search the internet for information and write out tags into an mp4 or m4v file. It interfaces with Amazon, tagChimp, B&N and IMDB.

And you tried having iTunes not running, then starting up MetaX and letting it start iTunes?

Also, I've had MetaX start iTunes and still not correctly connect to it. In that case I've had really good luck if I close iTunes and recheck the "Write to iTunes" box. MetaX will restart iTunes and usually it will connect correctly.

Yes I have, it just says, "Could'nt Connect to iTunes", although it does start it, then when you tag something in Metax it just says "failed sending to iTunes".

Ok have tried that and still the same, just recap exactly what is happening, if I start Metax it opens iTunes and then a message comes up saying "could not connect to iTunes", if I then tag something it fails to update it in iTunes, the message is "Failed sending data to iTunes".

Have you tried re-installing iTunes? At least one reference on the net indicated that it was a problem with the iTunes install and re-installing would fix it.

Are you logged on as an administrator or normal user?

Well, I'm fresh out of ideas. The only thing left I can think of is to try starting iTunes as admin, then start MetaX as admin and see if that makes a difference.

If that doesn't work then there's something going on with your system that I don't understand.

You could always use the automatically add to iTunes folder, which is what I do.

Look here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3832

It basically lets you drop a file into a directory and iTunes will automatically add it and move it to an appropriate subdirectory.
