Failed Sending Data To iTunes

Hi Dan, just checking back to see if you have managed to fix this error, as I have once again done a complete re-install of windows 7 64bit and iTunes etc etc again, but still cannot get it to work, just wondered if you have any fresh ideas to try. I have just installed the latest update and it is still the same error couldn't connect to iTunes, and then could not attach to iTunes.

Thanks Mike

It's even worse on the latest release for some reason. It used to work for me (even though I don't use it) but now it doesn't. I'm going to work on it but Apple doesn't make it easy.

I have exactly the same problem after upgrading to iTunes 11 and MetaX 2.31.
It is really frustrating to have to delete and re-import shows and films after tagging.

Got the same problem. Running iTunes 11.0.1.12 and MetaX 2.3.1. When I check the
box "Send data to iTunes after writing" I get an error message "Could not attach to iTunes".
My iTunes is not broken since Vuze and some other software can write data into it just fine.

Sorry about this, but there's just not any support from Apple for using the API. What makes it really tough to fix is that it only happens for a small % of users, and I can't recreate it on any of my systems.

I'll try once more to get some help on this, but what I do is use the automatically add to itunes feature of itunes, it works for everyone.

I am not familiar with the "automatically add" feature. Is it an iTunes feature? Can't seem to find it.

Thanks. However, since I have all my Itunes media on a server (to share it also via DLNA) I cannot use that mechanism.

I know that it has been a while since anyone has posted here but I may have an answer, of sorts.

I am in the UK and when the language in iTunes is set to English(United Kingdom) I get the error "Could not attach to iTunes". If I change the language to English (United States) then it works with no problem. I am guessing the problem is with season/series localization

I have bypassed the problem by ticking "place movie, and tv, files in" and sending them to the iTunes\Automatically Add to iTunes\ folder.

So for now I can suggest change localization to United States or copy files to the Automatically Add to iTunes folder.

Hope this helps
